Omran Ismail

Omran Ismail is the Co-Founder and CEO of Verifran, a franchise intelligence platform built to help franchisors better understand, qualify and prioritize prospective franchisees before significant time is invested in the recruitment process.

Raised in Sweden from the age of two and now based in Canada, Omran brings an international perspective to entrepreneurship and business. His career has spanned business development, construction, education and technology, with experience building companies, developing partnerships and leading teams across different industries and markets. Omran has also seen franchising from both sides of the system: he was a franchisee with Mac’s Convenience Stores, now Circle K, and has worked as a franchise supplier.

The idea behind Verifran emerged from a simple question: why does one of the most important relationships in franchising still so often begin with little more than a name, email address and phone number? Omran and his team saw an opportunity to create a better first step.

Central to Omran’s vision is the belief that technology should strengthen human relationships, not replace them. Franchising is fundamentally a relationship-driven business, and Verifran is designed to give professionals better information and more time to focus on the conversations, judgment and relationships that ultimately matter.

As CEO, Omran leads Verifran’s vision, strategy, partnerships and growth as the company expands across North America and prepares for broader international markets. His long-term ambition is to establish Verifran as a new standard for franchise candidate intelligence and qualification, bringing greater clarity to both sides before one of the most important business commitments they will make.
